Sydney has some iconic features that should not be missed, but this is a working city and deserves a little time to discover the less well known spots as well as the tourist areas.
Must do's include: River Paramatta cruise, Walk across the bridge to Kirribilli, Stroll the docks, Take the bus to Manly, Do the blue mountains tour, Ah heck, take a couple of weeks and just enjoy it.
Haymarket is the Chinatown area for all things Asian. Hotel is close to all areas of sightseeing and attraction, walking or bus - very handy to everything.
Nice bustling city with crowds at all times. peak or non peak. May go further like surry hills for less crowds for café hopping.
Great city - always love going there for shopping, nightlife and attractions. A beautiful vibrant city for Families, couples and groups.
Very diverse, multicultural. Great restaurants and night life. Historic places still worth visiting. Close to other attractions eg The Blue Mountains and the northern beaches.
Harbour is beautiful, enjoy a lunch cruise around the harbour or climb the Sydney Harbour Bridge, so much to see & do around the harbour for shores
Fabulous city in most weathers. Beautiful harbour and beaches. Lots to do harbourside. Definitely take a ferry ride or two.
Manly is a popular destination. Stroll the botanic gardens, the Domain and Hyde Park. Eat oysters by the Opera House watching ferries and cruise liners come and go. Love that city!
great sight seeing families, singles, couples, groups and business great shops, lots of attractions, beaches and plenty of things to do
We did a brief visit before heading off Cairns from Melbourne. The Torango zoo is a good place to spend 5-6 hours and specially by ferry to enjoy the Darling harbor view.
You may enjoy a splendid dinner at the Rock after the return trip
So many asians in Sydney. Not much interesting things to us because mostly like Central in Hong Kong.
It was just a transit for us to go to Tassie.
I can see why Sydney is voted one of the best places to visit in the world. It's action packed or relaxing depending on what you want to do.
From sightseeing, cruising the harbour, eating at one of many fantastic restaurants, shop til you drop, going to a museum, concert or the theatre, visiting the iconic sights, going on tours to the outer areas or just sitting and taking in your surroundings & people watching. I have done all of the above and I continue to come back and find something different each time. Sydney has so much to offer, it's an amazing place.
It's Sydney! Enough said, but no seriously, you cannot ask for more. Covered with outstanding beaches, night and city life.
Good transport system. Safe and friendly. Don't look for trouble cause you wont find it but look for fun and you will.
It has everything to offer. It caters for everyone, just a matter of finding it. It can be expensive at times so be smart about it.
A nice place to stay but not to live in as it is an expensive city, particularly transport cost is high.
Easy to get around and good Chinese food in China Town.
Spend more days there so you can visit at your own leisure, the Sydney Opera House, Sydney Fish Market, Darling Harbour, Bondi beach, Manly beach, Sydney eye tower and Queen Victoria Building.
The beaches are very windy, people who feel cold easily are advised to wear a windbreaker.
Sydney is a magical vibrant clean charming enticing city ! The climate is appealing year round generally.
The people are generally helpful it has a feeling of security, understandably tourists and beyond need be ever vigilant globally ! The harbour entre from Northern region is a particularly superb panorama , one of the best vistas on earth, travel across the harbour beyond is worthy of time taken even if just to gaze at a modern day wonder either The Harbour Bridge or Opera House. Service delivery is generally of an excellence with an abundance of choice , commuting is reasonably simple, may be intermittently undulating when on foot , although extensive changes in an ever evolving circumstance universally in being experienced in majority of cities globally.
The public transport network is comprehensive. Staying at CBD area is a wise choice as the landmarks are easily accessible on foot.
Its the best city in the world with beautiful harbour, delightful ferries for transport, fabulous views.
Easy to get around on city buses, affordable with good deals for seniors, trains regular and easy to get up lifts or stairs, on and off trains, no problem getting tickets. Very important aspect these days is its SAFE!!! (keep out of Kings Cross) Gardens are maintained at high standard, the Rocks holds so much history and has been well cared for, churches are open and welcoming - highly recommend this fantastic city!!
Sydney is a beautiful and vibrant city especially during spring time what a wonderful feeling to experience 3 seasons in one day! One can explore the CBD in one day just by walking without getting tired and bored.
My family enjoyed so much wish we could go back again
Blue Mountain is a must on a spring time day. I think going there during summer is out of the question.
I enjoyed looking at those Koalas as well
Sydney has all the attractions nearby. Going around is easy. You don't have to travel hundreds of miles to go from one attraction to another.
Fantastic city & friendly people.
this place is so good for relax, you can spend whole day at darling harbour and watch the sun set; but somethme you may meet some rude people who discriminate you are Chinese; i think it is better for lady do not go out alone at night, but most of the peopl are nice and good
Its a vibrant city they have everything in the city, luxurious brands, good food, nightlife, relaxing areas like beaches, nice parks etc.
A Nice city to visit and live in.
There's something for everyone, it's clean and easy to get around on bus/subway. The free Circular Quay 555 bus is a plus--a great way to get the lay of the land at the beginning of the trip.
Locals are friendly and helpful.
Sydney is a all-in-one package of a city. It includes culture, history, food, shopping, sightseeing, beaches, etc.
The lifestyle is balanced between work and personal life and there are opportunities for plenty of relaxation and entertainment. The city has good public transportation to help to travel from one town to another. Be sure to visit the zoos, aquariums, sydney opera house, take the cruise, buy chocolates, wine and perfumes (my best :))
Plenty of tourist spot to explore. Hop on hop off bus packages are available. Best to see places on the view-deck of the bus.
it was not enough time to explore all of the city around 4 days. you need at least 6-7 Days to explore the single corner of the city.
Sydney offer various type of attraction from foods, shopping center, life style/night life, museum, art gallery and culture.
Visit all the "must see" sites like the Opera House, The Rocks, Darling Harbour, take the ferry to Manly Beach, venture out to Bondi Beach, go out of the city to Hunter valley and enjoy the wine tasting, cheese and chocolate tasting, experience the kangaroos up close and personal, visit the koalas.
Sydney is a safe and clean city. Transportation system is very organized and easy to navigate. The city architecture is a blend of the old colonial and the modern times. Fresh experience for me and my friends
