Nice location, excellence service, good breakfast
room too small, swimming pool is very short
construction going on next door, can be quite noisy during day time. room and swimming pool are small. However the staff service are excellence, very convenience location, bed is very comfortable. I like the breakfast most, made to order breakfast is really one of our great moment of the day.

Location (depending on your likes)
Wonderful design
Great staff
Fabulous restaurant
Beautiful grounds and pool
Location (depending on your likes)
Street and construction noise
Mosquitos/insects biting in the beach area (hotel was working to address this issue)
The rooms and grounds are wonderful, and the staff top notch. The hotel is what you should expect for a top tier Thai resort and it doesn't disappoint. It deserves its #2 ranking on TripAdvisor.com, and it's a much better value than the top ranked hotel. The style is modern, yet with a tropical flair. It is particularly beautiful at night. Breakfast was included, and is from the on site restaurant, which was simply incredible.
This is right in the heart of Chaweng. If you're looking for idyllic, tranquil, seclusion, then look elsewhere. The property is smaller than I expected, but that shouldn't scare you unless you're one to love sprawling resorts or giant cruise ships.
The beach is public, though not highly traveled. The property next door is currently (Oct '09) under construction where they are building another resort (work will likely be complete sometime middle of next year). The noise is noticeable during the day, but work stops in the evening. Similarly, the hotel is on the main street, so sounds will float in, particularly in the busy evening hours. However, I didn't notice any noise from my room with the windows closed.
Restaurant Tip : The onsite restaurant is a must try, but I'd suggest walking down the beach to The Page at The Library resort for another good experience.

-Very warm home feeling
-very Thai cozy experience
-EXCELLENT breakfast
-great attention to details
-extremly friendly staff in restaurants.
-next to a construction site (not very noisy though)
-mosquito problem
-Old fashioned TV, not LCD
-Pool is a bit small
We've spent 4 days there as honeymooners, and it was one of the most memorable hotel experiences we had. we were actually planning to spend only 2 days till we found out that this hotel is the best on that beach in every way. A lot of green, great jungle view from the balcony, each room looks more like a home rather that hotel. The bathroom is great, they have all branded products in high quality.
