This 209 room hotel is conveniently located on Karon beach, just a short ride from Patong’s nightlife while still residing in tranquil surroundings. The hotel boasts five outdoor pools and two flood lit tennis courts, built upon eight hectares of land and along 500 meters of beach front, guest are spoilt with preened gardens and a sea views. Traditional Thai massage is also available at the pool side. The hotel offers a choice of dining options including the Old Siam restaurant for Thai cuisine, the Long Beach terrace for seafood and steaks and the Wind song Coffee Shop for international breakfast, lunch and dinner. The Lobby bar is s delightful option to begin or end your night with a draught beer. Our authentic famous Thai restaurant provides Royal Thai Cuisine. Dining in an ancient Thai atmosphere with Thai dancers and music recreating the ambiance of a bygon era of Thai feasts.
Windsong Cafe
Windsong Cafe is open throughout the day, for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Sitting nearby a lotus pond with an expansive exotic garden view, it is in a superb position to compliment the international cuisine.
Long Beach Terrace
Long Beach Terrace serves great seafood, steaks and Italian specialties. The location of the restaurant gives you the opportunity to see the sunset, overlooking the entire beach of Karon bay.
Bars and Lounges
Enjoy a cold beer or a stimulating cocktail in the coolness of our Lobby Bar. The nights are for dancing or listening to a varied selection of international music from our resident band. They play in the Lobby Lounge six nights a week.

Beautiful hotel with large rooms, nice pools, great service. Located in a quiet, very private setting, but close to shopping and restaurants. Had to pay for local phone calls and internet usage. We love this place. The gardens and grounds are immaculate and beautiful. I have never seen so many different plants and trees in one place! The pools are clean and seem to go on forever. Karon Beach, just across the street from the hotel, is beautiful and very clean. Great waves! All of the hotel staff were professional and courteous. For the price, I can't imagine that there is a nicer place in Phuket!
Restaurant Tip : Ed's place is a restaurant just a couple of blocks from the hotel. We tried some other places, but kept coming back to Ed's for great Thai food at a good price. Also have German, Swedish, etc., if you're not a Thai food fan.

- standard room badly mantain We manage to stay at both standard and deluxe room, due to some reason. Standard room is quite badly maintain, or look old. Only rated at 2 stars room. Deluxe room was better and everything look nice and good. I rated deluxe room 4 stars. Overall staff was good. Hotel is abit old but well maintained. The motorcycle rental was cheap only 200 bath per day which I highly recommend to everyone.
Shopping Tip : Don't go to Patong and Karon beach to shop. Everything is pricy. Try go to Phuket town and local shopping mall, you can find most stuffs is cheaper there.

The grounds,Pools and gardens. Hard mattress and pillows The position of the hotel was good in that it offered peace and quite from traffic and touters. The rooms were quite comfortable and if you suffer from a bad back, the very firm mattress would be of benefit although the hard pillows do not help if you have neck problems. The Karon Beach Palm Resort is one of the earlier built resorts and for the age of the place, is very well kept and maintained. The grounds and pool areas are beautiful and it is just a short walk across the road to the beach, where you can bask on sunlounges under the shade of beach umbrellas. The staff were very helpful and friendly and the resort offers transport to and back from Phuket town and Patong Beach. The local bus service from outside the resort is also good and a cheap form of transport. Overall, our stay was enjoyable and would not hesitate to return to the Thavorn Palm Beach Resort in the future.
Restaurant Tip : We found good eating at the Sunset Restaurant, just around the corner. The menu was varied and the price was good.
