The Thai Restaurant on the mezzanine floor. The views, Location, its cheap! Patong. Pushy almost aggressive concierge trying to get you to eat at the hotel. Benidorm, meets Surfers Paradise, with spicy food!Unlike many reviewers we didn't like Patong, at all. However the GRAND ROYAL PARADISE provides what I'm sure is perfect for most Patong lovers.
If a massive concrete multiple swimming pool and eatery type hotel is what you are looking for, then book this hotel. If you want to be in Thailand then this is not for you.

Very very good location, the staff was friendly,although slow, they spoke good English and were service minded. The pool is nice, but the pool bar extremely expensive. The location is fantastic but it is in the middle of the area, which can be quite disturbing. Otherwise it is a nice hotel, a little bit old and dilapilated, but otherwise fine. I would recommend this hotel to other guests if you manage to get a decent price.
Restaurant Tip : stay away from the in-house restaurant

Excellent location, comfortable rooms, great service, nice gym. Excellent value for money. Nothing really, but free wifi would make it perfect! I felt at home here from the moment I arrived. It's a very comfortable 4-star hotel with professional front of house staff, comfortable rooms with a great view, and good facilities throughout. A very nice buffet breakfast was included. I will definitely stay here again.
Nightlife Tip : Walk straight ahead out of the hotel and you get to the nighlife area in 100 yards.
