Views of the Gulf of Thailand are great. Beautiful swimming pool everyone enjoyed. Food was better than expected.
Remote location challenged the taxi driver from the airport. He was lost. Small hotel in a remote location mean this is it. Just be prepared for little activity and not many people. Only one restaurant which is not open for lunch - only poolside bar. The beach with the tide out is downright ugly.
The taxi driver was lost and I had to ask locals for directions and catch the small sign for an unlikely turn-off. Once arrived it was as described by other reviewers, so no real surprises. Pictures do not do justice to the infinity pool just above the beach. Especially beautiful at sunset. Unfortunately, at sunset the tide was out and the beach looks like a trash dump. You can actually see it on Google Earth of you want. It is just mud and rocks. Pretty bad. But you don't notice it at full tide. Service was good. Siriporn at the poolside bar spoke very little English but did a great job of serving and make folks happy. If the remote spot with a great view and pool are your priorities, this is a good spot.
Hotel Feature Tip : Wireless internet connection was too weak to use in the room, so take your laptop down to the lunchroom.

The views from our room and the balcony
The set up for dinner on the beach and the bbq on the beach
Quality of food in restaurant was very poor
Hotel staff could barely speak English
Shuttle service should be free
Shuttle service hours were way too rigid
Amenities were poor - eg. "gym" - a few little machines
Massage facilities and service poor
Lack of eating options in the hotel and surrounds
Certain members of staff were impolite and unhelpful
Only one pool (and guests were particularly noisy at time of our stay)
Taxi transport arranged through hotel was very expensive - more so than the local taxi drivers
We loved the views from our room and the balcony. Only having one restaurant to eat at is a huge disadvantage. Not offering a free shuttle service when Pan Wa is so isolated does not augur well for public relations. The times of the shuttle service are way too rigid!!! The staff are not informed as to other places to eat, and general information, nor do they speak English (not that we expected fluency, but this was almost impossible to understand...)
Travel tip : Family owned local restaurant about 10 mins. walk up the hill was fabulous - food tasty and cheap.
