i like a swimming pool at the top and the sky bar there.
All staff are friendly and nice. Food also fantastic. smell in the room, whenever i come in . Like a wood smell etc. The hotel is every nice and very close to the shpping area, bar, restaurant, transport and travel agency.
It will take you only 1 min walk to there. All staff and friendly and very helpfull. They all are speak good English.
Just only fews thing that i dislike is the bed that is so hard and smell in the room whenever you just come in.
Shopping Tip : If you are not Thai, The net price should be half or more than half from the 1st price.

hotel is new and comfortable. very close to shopping spots, the room is neat and fashion quality of shampoo and bath gel can be improved.. As a summary of the whole staying with Mercure, it was very good. The location of it is very convinent to all shopping areas and gourmet resturants. Once you step into the hotel you'll find there was another atmosphere, clean and peaceful. Stuffs there are friendly and helpful.
But swimming pool and bars closed so early, not much you can do staying in the hotel at night.
Shopping Tip : better walk around and compare everything first before you make purchase. Free markets contain different prices, make sure you ask for discount before you buy. If need to exchange currency, make sure to compare with others because the rates at each one can be different.

The pool is fantastic! really great view of pool from our room. most of the reviews i read before i went to thailand stated that the hotel was far from everything. SO WRONG! its about a 10 minute walk to bangla road which isnt that far! people are so lazy these days! plus, on the way to bangla road, there are plenty of shopping opportunities, massage treatments and other things. On the 6th floor of the hotel, there is a small pool with no one seemed to no about, and a great bar. also really great tanning spot and lookout point. room was really great also. decent size bathroom and no extra charge for towels. i defiantly recommend getting breakfast included. really great spread and a great start to the day. overall i would say that our stay here was really great! would defiantly come back! only a few cons - tv cut out on last night, which wasnt the hotels fault, but they could have offered a free dvd player to compensate (not included in room. is 700 bht ($20 AUD) to hire. ridiculous! could have bought one there for the same price and kept it! apart from that everything was perfect! really great hotel! the mercure patong is far enough out of the main street the be really quite and peaceful. only distraction is fireworks going off every few hours! doesnt last long though. food at buffet breakfast was really great. would recommend that to everyone. bar in pool was also really great! only go there at happy hour thought... its buy one get one free! not very cheap though. just buy one, get one free, and take some photos and thats it!
Travel tip : Dont be conned into buying things you dont need! the amount of suits my boyfriend would have purchased if he just gave it! defiantly go to phuket zoo. really great day out. PLEASE dont take photos with the tiger though. there is no way possible it would sit there all day with people poking at it without being drugged. the chain is so tight it cant even stand, so PLEASE dont take photos with it. apart from that, heaps of fun! Would recommend hiring a scooter. HEAPS of fun! just dont give them your passport. they normally ask for that so just say no and walk off! there are plenty more places you can go! we found a place alongside the beach that took my license but i got it back both times. take a ride down to kata beach. really fun day. Also, if your looking for a suit, they custom make suits phenomenally! we went to a place called david jones, the closer one to the mercure (there are to) my boyfriend got a suit and a shirt for around $120 AUD! looks fantastic as well!
