Large hotel - its size a little daunting. Friendly and efficient staff who were welcoming. Our room was at the rear of the hotel, overlooking the car park and some service areas. Some road noise. Room standard very good. Very close the the beach and main street which is very convenient. Would recommend but not for people seeking the smaller more personal experience.
Hotel Feature Tip : Go for beach view room if you can.

Right on the beach, nice sized pool, breakfast buffet Big, busy hotel, lots of people This hotel was a great value for our money. Great location right on the beach. It definitely was a larger resort, so you should go there knowing there will be a lot of people...poolside can get very busy and people 'claim' their poolside chairs before breakfast, making it difficult to relax by the pool anytime after that. Chairs are available by the ocean if you are willing to pay and don't mind being haggled by trinket-sellers. Kata is a great beach, with a quieter night-life which we appreciated but some may not. Not very much shopping but a few great restaurants. The tour staff was extremely helpful and friendly.
Restaurant Tip : The Italian restaurant Capannina nearby is amazing! Delicious pizza and homemade pastas.

crowded, not personable and food and drink were expensive. We stayed at 5 hotels during our 3 week Honeymoon in Thailand and this was our second stop. After being back and thinking about it this place is the only one that did not do anything special for our celebration. I am not saying we needed a upgrade or bottle of Champagne but a simple flower on the bed would have been nice. This hotel in my opinion is equivalent to a Sheraton or Hyatt. Its a great hotel with nice rooms and great location right on the Beach but there was absolutely no Character and very cookie cutter. The pool area is great and if you like a crowded hotel then this is your place. It looked like it would be great for families with children.
